Discrimination is a real problem within the Pit Bull Community.
People often over look the details of discrimination. There are Pit Bull owners that walk their dogs before the sun rises or extremely late at night because they are afraid of discrimination. They are afraid of people who spit, throw coke cans at them, poor hot coffee on them and well, I think you get the point.
Never before in the history of dog ownership have a group of people been so widely discriminated against than Pit Bull owners.
Laws that are put into place to target Pit Bulls are, in my opinion, directly used to discriminate against the owners of Pit Bulls or Pit Bull type dogs.
The Humane Society of the United States as publicly stated on many occasions that Pit Bulls are “the dogs of choice for drug dealers, gang members, and anyone else who is looking for a dog to be a status symbol.”

The simple fact is this: if it has teeth, it can bite. Obviously, smaller dogs do not cause as significant damage to the average adult human (though they can injure or even kill a infant). . BSL (BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION)causes the death of thousands of innocent dogs. Animal control CAN COME INTO YOUR HOMETOWN AND TAKE YOUR INNOCENT DOG FOR NO REASON CAUSE OF WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN. THE MOST TARGETED ANIMALS ARE THE PTBULL..More than two dozen cities have already passed bills to round up and kill family pets who simply look like the kind of dog who might attack someone.It’s the canine equivalent of racial profiling. And it’s quite scary. It started off with pit bull-looking dogs, and in some places it now even includes Labs and golden retrievers!And when these bills are passed, who gets targeted the most? Answer: responsible, law-abiding families who have registered their pets and have their breed on record.Yes, there are some dangerous dogs out there. But it has nothing to do with which breed they are, and everything to do with how they’ve been bred and how they’ve been trained.
